A short tribute to my friend Ward Harper, Id B, who killed himself on December 2. The music is by dot dot dot, his short lived band that also created the soundtrack for 8500. The video and super 8 clips are from various Exploding Head Trick performances from the late 80's and early 90's.

I was best friends with Ward in Junior High school. We were inseparable. We would draw comics together, build & paint tanks.. we lost touch, then in September Ward (ID) reconnected with me.. I was so happy. We were inseparable again. We had a blast at the Zombie Pub Crawl. That Sunday we were building tanks, just like we did when we were 12. The next Tuesday I found out he had killed himself. I was a wreck for days. This video means so much to me, what an awesome tribute you made for him. Peace.

John Akre writes, draws, animates, makes videos and teaches. He believes that he is a living, breathing, thinking and being human animal, but his creator, Dr. Hubert Zork, one of the nation's least well-respected mad scientists, will tell you otherwise.
